Our Story

Since opening our doors in 2000, Ichiban Boshi has been dedicated to bringing the everyday joy of Japanese dining to Singapore. What started as a humble idea, to serve comforting Japanese meals that everyone can enjoy, has grown into a well-loved brand.

From fresh sushi and sashimi to hearty set meals and seasonal specialties, we’ve always believed in making Japanese dining accessible, comforting, and welcoming for all. Guided by the spirit of omotenashi (wholehearted hospitality), Ichiban Boshi has become a place where families, friends, and colleagues gather to share good food and good times.

Our Brandmark

Inspired by the sakura, our brand mark captures the spirit of omotenashi, Japanese hospitality from the heart. At its centre, the star pays homage to our name, Ichiban Boshi. Ichiban meaning “first,” and Boshi meaning “star.” Together, they bloom into a symbol of balance and 5-star freshness.
